The Dandy Warhols at the Wiltern....

Last night I went to see the Dandy Warhols perform at the Wiltern in Los Angeles.  I missed the first opening act but was able to catch the second one, which  was a noise rock band by the name of A Place To Bury Strangers.  Their complete set was an amazing clash of smoke, noise and monotonous vocals.  Shortly after A Place to Bury Strangers finished their set, the room dimmed, four silhouettes came onto the stage and the lights flashed on revealing The Dandy Warhols.  They played for about an hour an half, combining their old hits with some new tracks of off their latest release entitled "...Earth To The Dandy Warhols..."  Their live performance was energetic when the songs were rockin and soothing when they played their more mellow hits.  Overall it was a great show and I would recommend seeing them next time their in town.  Their new album is really good and can be picked up at your local record store or on Itunes.  If you've never heard of The Dandy Warhols you can check them out on Myspace here.  Also, be sure to check out A Place To Bury Strangers on Myspace here.
